Suzuki Motor Corporation of Japan in the Canadian auto sector

Initially, Suzuki Canada Inc. was incorporated in Ontario, Canada in June 1973 as Suzuki Canada Limited. It started with thirty employees and concentrated on selling motorcycles and parts/accessories to the network of Suzuki auto dealers spread all over Canada. In 1980, the name changed from Suzuki Canada Ltd. to Suzuki Canada Incorporated. Suzuki Canada Inc. is an established company in the Canadian auto sector today, and sells a range of Suzuki products, including motorcycles in Canada.Suzuki Canada Inc. marks the presence of Suzuki Motor Corporation in the Canadian auto sector. This legendary Japanese multinational company has its presence in one hundred and eighty-three countries around the world, with fifty-seven automobile and motorcycle manufacturing plants in Japan, Canada, Hungary, China, India, Malaysia and Columbia. A far cry from when founder Michio Suzuki established it in Japan in 1909, as the Suzuki Loom Company, to manufacture weaving looms. Today Suzuki Auto is a major frontrunner in European and American auto markets.
