They will honor your warranty no matter where you are if the battery fails.ONCE, I bought from a local parts store. Never again! The battery failed within two years. Of course, I had to take it back to the shop where I bought it. When I went to exchange it, the manager told me a new battery would cost more than the one I originally bought. The manufacturer of the batteries did not make that specific battery anymore, and the new one cost more. So I don't buy them in parts stores anymore. I have had to go to wal-mart and got the cheapest three times within 2 months. so if i were you i would go to wal-mart or the auto store and the the middle priced one. i am not saying go and get the most expensive one but do not get the cheapest.
